Aguri no Sato Oirase
A comprehensive tourist farm with hands-on experiences that can be enjoyed all year round. It has a tropical orchard, one of the largest strawberry farms in the prefecture, a petting zoo, a restaurant, and much more. It also sells a wide range of local products.

創建年代は定かではないが、鎌倉から室町時代にかけて当地を支配していた豪族安藤氏の創建と伝えられている。御祭神は、衣食住・生業繁栄を守護する神「宇迦之御魂命(うかのみたまのみこと)」、祓と導きの徳を持つ道開きの神「佐田彦命(さたひこのみこと)」、人の心を和ませる徳を持つ家庭の和楽・芸能上達の神「大宮能売命(おおみやのめのみこと)」。三柱の神は稲荷大神と称えられ、広大無辺の御神徳を持つ「福神さま」として崇められている。神苑に映える、真っ赤な鳥居がずらっと並ぶ千本鳥居の光景は特に印象的で必見。

Takayama Inari Shrine (Tsugaru City)
The splendid Torii gates' corridor is something you must never miss. The popular shrine is known to be one of the most wonder-working spots in all of Aomori Prefecture. The corridor made up with thousand Torii gates is especially famous, which creates a unique and attractive Japanese atmosphere.

中泊町は高級魚メバル（ウスメバル）の水揚げが青森県でナンバーワン！そこで開発されたのが、「メバルの刺身姿盛り＋メバルの熱々煮付け＋メバルの潮汁」の贅沢なおもてなし御膳。イカ漁も盛んなこともあり、イカソーメンも付いています。中里地区で生産されたお米（はれわたり）も使用した大人気のご当地グルメです（2015年にデビュー）。

下北半島西海岸中央部の下北半島国定公園に属する景勝海岸で、1941年国名勝および天然記念物に指定された。長年の波浪と風の浸食によって緑色凝灰岩が大小さまざまな仏像・仏具に形づくられた奇岩奇石の岩石海岸が約1.5kmにわたって続く。

Hotokegaura Coast (Sai Village)
Hotokegaura has been designated as a national place of scenic beauty and a natural monument since 1941. The coastline, with a variety of large and small rocks shaped like Buddhist statues and objects from long-term surf and wild erosion, stretches approximately 1.5 km.

八戸港に水揚げされた魚介を4種類以上使用した八戸風ブイヤベースが市内のホテルやレストランで提供されています。八戸の海の恵みと、それぞれのお店による趣向を凝らした一皿をご堪能ください。お店によっては事前の予約が必要です。

"八戸ブイヤベース"の2つのルール

①地元八戸港に水揚げされる魚介類を最低４種類以上使います。野菜（ハーブ類、にんにく、トマト等）も地元産のものをできるだけ使います。

②まずはスープ料理として具材（魚介類）をそのまま楽しみます。その後、スープを活かした各店ごとに異なる、オリジナルの"締めの一皿"を楽しみます。魚介類もスープも「一皿で２度おいしい」のが八戸ブイヤベースの楽しみ方です。

八戸ブイヤベースフェスタは、毎年2月1日から3月31日まで市内の参加店舗で開催されます。

櫛引八幡宮の例祭に参詣者の土産物として売られるようになりました。胸や腹の巧みな曲線加工と華やかな色模様で作られた八幡馬は、福島の三春駒、宮城の木下駒とともに日本三駒のひとつに数えられています。

Yawatauma (Horse figurine)
Yawatauma was sold as a souvenir for visitors to the annual festival at Kushihiki Hachimangu Shrine. It is known as one of the three most popular horse-shaped figures along with Miharu-goma from Fukushima Prefecture and Kinoshita-goma from Miyagi Prefecture for its skillful curves at the chest and stomach and vivid colors.

全長170mのビッグストリートに約60店舗が軒を連ねる「どでか市場！」。水揚げされたばかりの新鮮魚介類、乾物や珍味、お土産、八戸名物が勢揃い！「七厘村」では、館内で買った魚介類やお肉などをすぐに七厘で焼いて食べられます。ご飯や焼きおにぎり、八戸せんべい汁等のお食事に加え、青森県産100％リンゴジュースや地酒までドリンク類も豊富に取り揃えています。

昭和３年ごろから八戸市内で親しまれてきた、細ちぢれ麺とあっさりスープの懐かしい「志那そば」を復刻したもの。老若男女多くの人に好まれるシンプルで飽きのこない味です。
　
Hachinohe Ramen
A replicated version of the good old ramen that was popular among the Hachinohe locals back in the 1920’s. It has a simple yet addictive flavor that satisfies people of all ages.

国宝「合掌土偶」をはじめ、市内の出土品を常設展示。隣接する是川石器時代遺跡は、世界遺産に登録されている「北海道・北東北の縄文遺跡群」の構成資産のひとつ。

Korekawa Jomon Museum
Korekawa Jomon Museum dispatches the Jomon cultures of the Tohoku Region through exhibitions of items and artifacts from Korekawa Site and Kazahari 1 Site. The National Treasure “Gassho Clay Figure” is from the late-Jomon Period, which places its hands together in prayer while sitting down. It holds a great academic value because it shows the modes of living and spiritual conceptions of the Jomon Period.

ご当地グルメの火付け役にもなった、鍋汁の中に専用のせんべいを割入れた八戸地方を代表する郷土料理。

Hachinohe Senbei-jiru Soup
A homemade dish made by boiling Nanbu Senbei (wheat flour crackers) with your favorite ingredients. The flavor of wheat flour crackers, which taste like Al dente as the broths of the ingredients soak in, is beloved by many people. It is widely popular in Hachinohe area.

八戸えんぶりは、迫力ある舞で八戸地方に春を呼ぶ豊年祈願の郷土芸能。国の重要無形民俗文化財に指定されている。毎年2月17日～20日に市内各地で開催される。

Hachinohe Enburi Festival
Enburi dance is a folk art representative of the Hachinohe area. It is designated as an important national intangible folk cultural property. The dance, offered to deities as a prayer for a rich harvest, is believed to boast an 800-year history. Dancers called “tayu” dance by swinging gorgeous “eboshi” hats in the shape of horse heads. Over 30 Enburi dancing teams perform traditional dances around Hachinohe City for four days from February 17 through 20 every year. Between the dances by “tayu”, children perform celebratory dances such as “enko-enko” and “ebisu-mai”.

日本100名城のひとつ。南北朝時代に南部師行（なんぶもろゆき）が築城し、八戸統治の拠点とした「根城」の安土桃山時代の姿を復原し、中世の平城の面影を伝える貴重な史跡である。

National Historic Site "Nejo Castle"
In 1334, Nanbu Moroyuki, the lord of Nanbu Clan, built the castle at Nejo in what is now Hachinohe City. He came to Hachinohe area all the way from Kai Province, the current Nanbu Town in Yamanashi Prefecture. Nejo Nanbu Clan lived in this castle for about 300 years until 1627, when the first lord Moroyuki's descendant was relocated to the current Tono City in Iwate Prefecture. In 1941, this precious medieval castle was designated as a national historic site. In October 1994, some buildings dating back to Azuchi-Momoyama Period (about 400 years ago) were reconstructed on the main enclosure of the site.
This castle stands on a plain, covering the area of about 180,000 square meters, and consists of some enclosures such as Honmaru, Naka-date, Tozenji-date, etc. Based on the excavations of Honmaru, some buildings including main structure, workshops, thatched storerooms, and stables were faithfully reconstructed. The architectural style of Azuchi-Momoyama Period can be seen. It is designated as one of Japan’s major 100 castles.

約300の店が並び、毎週数万人が足を運ぶ巨大朝市。新鮮な魚介や野菜だけでなく、地元の惣菜、コーヒー、工芸品などバラエティに富んだ品物が数多く並ぶ。

Tatehana Ganpeki Morning Market
Tatehana Ganpeki Morning Market is one of the biggest morning markets held in Japan. The entire Hachinohe area gets condensed into Hachinohe City Tatehana Fishing Port for only a few hours on Sunday mornings. Over 300 stands and shops line up at a venue that is 800 meters in length, attracting over several thousands of people every week. Unique shop owners entertain visitors with local specialties and a variety of items. The loop buses are available and convenient between the city center and the morning market site.

国の重要無形民俗文化財「八戸三社大祭」は、厳かな神社行列と、豪華絢爛な山車運行が魅力の夏祭り。前夜祭と後夜祭を含み、毎年7月31日～8月4日まで開催される。2016年12月、ユネスコ無形文化遺産「山・鉾・屋台行事」に登録された。

Hachinohe Sansha Taisai Festival
Hachinohe Sansha Taisai Festival, the biggest summer festival in Hachinohe Area with over 300 years of history and tradition, is designated as an Intangible Cultural Heritage “Yama, Hoko, Yatai Float Festival in Japan” and as an Important Intangible Folk Cultural Asset of Japan. The time-honored Shrine Procession fascinates visitors with other performing arts, such as Toramai (the tiger dance). The sight of 27 massive festival floats (10 meters high and 8 meters wide) with gorgeous decorations moving energetically is breathtaking! On August 2nd, they hold “Kagami-Style Equestrian Dakyu (a sport in East Asia that is similar to polo in some ways)” at Chojasan Shinra Shrine. Equestrian Dakyu is a very rare sport that can be seen only at the Imperial Household Agency and in Yamagata Prefecture and Hachinohe City. It is designated as an Intangible Folk Cultural Asset of Aomori Prefecture.

東日本大震災で大きな被害を受けた、東北太平洋沿岸。その復興のシンボルとして整備されているのが、青森県八戸市の蕪島から福島県相馬市松川浦までをつなぐ、総距離1000kmを超えるロングトレイルである。

Michinoku Coastal Trail
“Michinoku Shiokaze Trail” is about 1,000km natural coastal trail that connects Kabushima Island in Hachinohe City, Aomori Prefecture with Matsukawa-ura in Soma City, Fukushima Prefecture. On the trail, you are sure to experience a variety of seascapes and landscapes, local cultures and histories, and the heartfelt hospitalities of the communities along the trail.
At Kabushima Island, both the starting and finishing monuments for this trail are found. Here in Aomori Prefecture, there are two trailing routes; Hachinohe City route including Tanesashi Coast, and Hashikami Town route with Mt. Hashikami-dake.

八戸市中心街に迷路のように張り巡らされた8つの横丁（花小路、たぬき小路、五番街、八戸昭和通り、ハーモニカ横町、長横町れんさ街、ロー丁れんさ街、八戸屋台村みろく横丁）。地元店主が自慢の料理と地酒でもてなしてくれる。八戸の夜は、風情と人情たっぷりの横丁へ出かけてみよう。

Yokocho in Hachinohe
There are 8 attractive side roads with many unique shops in the city of Hachinohe, all of which retain the appearance reminiscent of a castle town. They serve visitors with local sake, special dishes, and amazing hospitality.
Tanukikoji: A traditional and charming area used as a location of a television commercial. It connects with the Gobangai.
Gobangai: A dimly lit area located between buildings recommended for connoisseurs. It has a unique and silent atmosphere even in central area of the bar district. It connects with Tanukikoji.
Rocho Rensagai: An open area with many famous shops lining on one side, facing the Takasho Koji, crowded with people. Connects with the Nagayokocho Rensagai.
Harmonica Yokocho: A variety of bars, from traditional bars to Asian bars, lining up like a harmonica reed.
Hachinohe Showadori: An area for all people, from beginners to connoisseurs, to visit a variety of renowned restaurants lined up on a wide street.
Hanakoji: An area that spreads both horizontally and vertically (from the basement to the third floor), around a road between the buildings, holding the Hanayoko market in daytimes and crossing the Miroku Yokocho.
Hachinohe Yataimura Miroku Yokocho: A popular area with an open atmosphere containing 26 food stalls that are comfortable to enter even for the first time.

3～4万羽のウミネコが3月～8月に繁殖のため飛来し、その様子を間近で見られる全国でも珍しい観光スポット。島全体が鳥で覆われる壮観な景色と、「かぶあがり」のご利益で知られる蕪嶋神社も見どころとなっている。

Kabushima Island
Kabushima Island is the only breeding grounds for black-tailed gulls where visitors are able to observe their nests from a close distance. It is designated as a national natural monument. From late February until early August, the island resonates with cries of more than 30,000 gulls that come to the island to breed.

青森県田舎館村の川部駅と秋田県の東能代駅間の全長147.2kmを結んでいます。一度は乗ってみたいローカル線として全国的に人気の路線で、特に「リゾートしらかみ」は、ワイドビューの大きな窓から、奇岩に打ち寄せる白波や白神山地の眺望がパノラマで楽しめます。青森県深浦町は夕陽の町としても有名で、日本海の海岸沿いから望む景色は人々を虜にします。「深浦夕陽海岸」沿いに走る列車からは、タイミングが良ければ日本海に沈む茜色の夕陽を拝むことができます。

1951年に開業したJR津軽線は、青森市の青森駅から津軽半島の陸奥湾側に沿って外ヶ浜町の三厩駅を結ぶ全長55.8kmの路線です。車両は701系電車とディーゼルエンジンで発電した電力で駆動するGV-E400系気動車が運行されています。かつては特急「白鳥」や「スーパー白鳥」、急行「はまなす」などが運行され北海道と本州を繋いでいましたが、2016年3月26日からは北海道新幹線がその役割を担っています。現在、蟹田駅～三厩駅間は代行バスとデマンド型乗合タクシーによる鉄道代替輸送が行われています。

JR大湊線は、青森県上北郡野辺地町の野辺地駅から、下北半島の陸奥湾側を縦貫して、青森県むつ市の大湊駅までを結ぶ歴史ある鉄道路線です。「はまなすベイライン大湊線」という愛称が付けられています。下北半島観光には欠かせない路線となっており、特に「有戸」〜「吹越」間は陸奥湾沿いを走る絶景ポイントのひとつです。JR大湊線は2021年9月で100周年を迎えました。

1930(昭和5)年3月に尻内駅(現八戸駅)～久慈駅間(64.9km)で全線開通となりました。1971(昭和46)年、本線上の八戸駅が「本八戸駅」と改称され、同年少し遅れて尻内駅が「八戸駅」となりました。現在、八戸駅～鮫駅間には「うみねこレール八戸市内線」という愛称が付けられ、通勤・通学客以外にも多くの観光客の足となっています。八戸線を走るレストラン列車「TOHOKU EMOTION(2013.10.19運転開始)」も大人気。

美しい自然に包まれ、歴史とロマンにあふれる村。ゴルゴダの丘で磔刑(たっけい)されたキリストが実は密かに日本へ渡り、ここ新郷で106歳の天寿を全うし葬られたというキリスト伝説。今やキリストの墓は、パワースポットにもなっています。温泉にも恵まれ、源泉の野沢(のさわ)温泉は「泉質が良い」と温泉愛好家の間では秘湯として知られています。酪農が盛ん。ミズバショウの群生地も魅力です。HPはこちら>>>
